This series ran for just about one half of a season from 1977-78. It was an athology series about what became of the graduates of Bret Harte High School class of 1965. It was told from the perspective of 1965 graduate, Sam Ashley, who himself had become a teacher at the school from which he graduated.
After 30 years and no re-runs, details of this series are a little sketchy. One thing remains firmly embedded in my mind: That's the catchy theme from this show. Listen and enjoy!
Although not really a TV theme, this tag is heard at the opening of all modern-day UNIVERSAL productions. When visiting the Universal Studios Theme Parks, I can't help but hear this tune running through my head as I walk by the giant globe with the word "UNIVERSAL" rotating arond it!
Presently (and sadly), the composer of this piece is unknown.

Battle Beyond the Starsis now available in midi
In this outing, TV's Greatest Hits is taking a temporary departure from TV themes to honor a Roger Corman classic sci-fi B-movie from 1980: Battle Beyond the Stars. The score was composed by James Horner (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Titanic).
This time we're featuring in two-fer in which TV's Greatest Hits content producer Neil Strawbridge and guest midi artist Keith Kemper have each assembled their own arrangements of the theme. This occurred completely by coincidence, but both artists felt that this theme has been neglected for too many years.
Keith Kemper comes to TV's Greatest Hits as a highly experienced and professional midi artist. Read more about him here.
